From Cuba to Luverne, MN, Zenon Dance Company has traveled the world bringing a singular, versatile and virtuosic approach to modern and jazz dance to enthusiastic audiences. One of North America's premier repertory dance companies, Zenon commissions new works from talented emerging choreographers as well as internationally renowned masters, in order to continually drive the evolution of dance standards in Minnesota. Zenon is thrilled to announce its performance at the Historic Palace Theatre on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Tickets will go on sale January 23 at the Palace Box Office and are $12 for adults and FREE for students (birth-12th grade). General Admission seating.

The Palace Theatre program includes four works:
• Cuban choreographer Osnel Delgado’s wildly popular 2014 Coming Home. “…the sweet spot where sport [baseball] and artistry meet”—Star Tribune,
• Daniel Buraczeski’s lively and infectious Merry-Go-Round, set to music by Glenn Miller and the The Army Air Force Band. A delicious slice of American spirit and history.
• Storm by Daniel Charon is a prime example of American modern dance at its finest. This sweeping and exhilarating work propels its six dancers to their physical limits supported by a powerful musical score. “It’s as if Charon is trying to trap lightening in a bottle.” – The StarTribune
• Gemini by Penelope Freeh is a beautifully lyrical modern dance quintet exploring celestial formations and spatial relationships. This work connects us to the heavens through dance.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
